SCHEDULES HERE….GET YOUR SCHEDULES HERE!!!!

OK, we have spent countless hours fine tuning this schedule.  It’s not “ideal” for everyone…. the adult teams will be down on the turf (something we eliminated a few years back).  Due to the large number of teams…it was necessary.  I have attached the schedules as a PDF file.  It is in book format…so you will need to scroll through to find your age group.  For the 2nd and 3rd grade divisions…they are co-ed, so there is no “boys” or “girls” divisions.  There are multiple divisions for other ages…so make sure you are looking at the correct schedule.  We will be sending out information to the contact e-mail address with some important information regarding check in, early check in (Friday), rules and reminder.  PLEASE make sure you read through it all thoroughly.  We would not send it out if we did not feel like it was important information.  As far as the schedule goes, we have had it looked over by multiple people to make sure it is correct (times, fields, teams).  Because we had so many teams register, we were unable to accommodate the requests for a coach who coaches multiple teams…. many of you are coaching multiple teams and we apologize that we could not do this for you.  Hopefully you will have several parents there who will step in and coach (or substitute players!!) in your absence if necessary.  We did not even make accommodations for any of our home teams ~ so we are in the same boat as you are!!  If we all remember that this is a FUN event and not get caught up in the winning and losing of games, that might help us all realize that having a parent on the sideline coaching is not such a horrible thing!! :0)  (Coaches…this might be the perfect opportunity for the parents to realize that coaching isn’t as easy as it may seem!!!)  We appreciate everyone’s understanding in this matter.  Also, we had many requests to not play teams from the same club.  We did our best.  Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t.  Again….we have the same situation with our home teams.  It’s a bummer to play your teammates ~ but it had to happen.  Look for an e-mail to come LATE tonight (Wed).  If you do not receive one and you were the team contact, please e-mail summersizzler2008@yahoo.com ~  it’s possible there was a typo! (give me until midnight or so…. you’ll have it in your inbox first thing in the morning!!)

Thank you ALL so much for participating in our 6th Annual 3v3.  We hope you have an amazing time.  Please share with us your suggestions and kudos afterwards.  We really do take all suggestions into consideration!!  Our top priority is that your team has fun and wants to return next year!!  AND DON’T FORGET…. WE ARE HAVING A CANNED FOOD DRIVE FOR THE LEAST OF THESE FOOD PANTRY.  THE TEAM WHO BRINGS IN THE MOST CANS GETS THEIR REGISTRATION FEE WAIVED!!!!  Bring your canned goods to the registration table either Friday or Saturday.  Tell the registration workers your team name and they will keep a running tally.  We will announce the winners around 2:00pm (if you are gone by then, we will send your team a check in the mail)  Let’s be GENEROUS!!!

2013 REVISED Schedules for 3v3 Sizzler

98 Teams Entered in the 2013 Summer Sizzler!!

 

Scheduling will begin… there forecastare LOTS of requests.  We will do our best to accommodate everyone, but with this many teams ~ we may all have to accept that some things are unavoidable.  Schedules should be posted by Wed night.  E-mails will be sent out to all “contacts” when this happens with additional information.  Early Check in will be available again this year on Friday night at 6:00-7:30pm (no one will be admitted earlier than 6pm since this is also our “set up” time!)  All this info and more will be available sometime Wed.

Registration Extended Until Sunday Evening

Due to the exceptionally strong interest in the Summer Sizzler,  we are extending the online Registration until Sunday Night.  Once the link is gone,  you’ll know registration is closed.  If we have closed registration and you are still wanting to participate in the 3v3, please call 582-1107 ASAP &  we will see what we can do.  (no guarantees!) We hit the 100 team mark today.  Nearly 20 teams over our previous record!  So happy to have such amazing participants &  support! Please make sure you get your fee sent in as soon as possible!

NINE DAYS TO GO……..

3V3 2013

In NINE days we will be knee deep in 3v3 play!  We are so excited that so many of you have registered online.  We’re looking to a record breaking year!!!  If you have not registered, it’s not too late.  We will take registrations until Sunday evening.  If you register online, please send your payment in as soon as possible.  Each participant will receive a Tournament T-shirt!!  Winners of each division will get a great Drawstring Pack and some serious bragging rights!!  If you have any questions, please call 582-1107 and we’ll be happy to help!!  SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!!!

Click on the REGISTER ONLINE link.  This will take you to a Google Docs form  where you can fill out all the information about your team.  Click SUBMIT, and you’re in!  Print off the ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM, fill out and send in with your payment.  Let us know if this makes things easier.  Maybe next year, we’ll start taking online payments, too!!

We think EVERYONE is a winner when it comes to the Summer Sizzler…. most of all, Least of These.  Thank you to everyone for donating $, bringing in canned goods etc..  We will be cutting a check & donating the canned goods later this week.

However, we all know that there was only one team in each division that could take home the “Division Winner” collapsible water bottles (pretty cool water bottles, huh?) SUMMER SIZZLER A HIT!

Summer Sizzler wraps up for 2012

The Summer Sizzler participants and crew pulled off one of the BEST 3v3’s to date.  What looked like could have been the Summer “Drizzler” again (back in 2009 it poured buckets of water and then stopped as soon as the games began!) but ended up being the most wonderful day for soccer.  Thank you to all those who came to play, to watch, to volunteer, who sponsored the tournament, who brought in canned goods (the winner of the can drive was four2score boys team!!).  This was just all around a fantastic day and we are so happy you all chose to spend your Saturday with us on the soccer field.  Please mark your calendar for July 20, 2013 which is when we will host our 6th Annual Summer Sizzler.

Check back later this week for Division winners.  Also, we have a small box of lost and found.  If you lost something…check with us.  It’s very likely that we have picked it up.
